Rep. Jim Cobb pleads not guilty to assault charge
DAYTON, Tenn. (AP) ? State Rep. Jim Cobb has pleaded not guilty to an assault charge stemming from allegations that he threatened a woman in a wheelchair on the day of the primary election. The Rhea County circuit court clerk's office said Cobb's attorney entered the plea on the Spring City Republican's behalf. Cobb did not appear at the Friday arraignment.
