Inmates go before judge to request stays in wake of scandal at state drug lab
Even for the winners, there was bad news mixed with the good in Superior Court on Thursday. Inmates serving time for drug crimes went before Superior Court Judge Robert Kane to request a stay of sentence so they could be freed while officials straighten out the mess at the state drug lab in Boston.
