Attorney: CHP officer's DUI case expected to settle Santa Maria Times Michael Shane Mallory, 37, of Arroyo Grande, has pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor DUI charge. Mallory, who was booked into jail and then released on a promise to appear, has been reassigned from public affairs duties at the Santa Maria CHP office.
