Derrick Allen, freed in high-profile case, is back in jail
Allen is in jail in Asheboro on drug and weapon charges. Since January, court and police records show, Allen has been accused in a range of crimes, including assault with a deadly weapon. Meanwhile, an appeals court decision about the murder case dismissal could come soon.
