Washington County DA drops child sexual assault charge against ex-cop
FORT EDWARD�-- Washington County prosecutors have dropped a weighty sexual assault charge against a former police officer who was accused of repeatedly raping a young girl and instead allowed him to plead guilty to a non-sex offense misdemeanor that resulted Tuesday in his release from jail.
