Jeff Ashton takes over Orange-Osceola State Attorney's Office on Tuesday An era in Central Florida criminal justice comes to a close Monday with Lawson Lamar's last day as state attorney for Orange and Osceola counties. Lamar, a former Orange County sheriff who has held his present post for six consecutive terms, will hand the reins to Jeff Ashton.
