Charge withdrawn in assault on Virginia Beach officer
VIRGINIA BEACH Prosecutors withdrew a felony assault charge Thursday against a man accused of helping to attack an Oceanfront bike patrol officer May 19. Joshua Laud, 19, of Fort Eustis "never attacked or harmed anyone," Macie Pridgen, a spokeswoman for the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office, said in an email.
