Santa Cruz man pleads no contest in Maui death of attorney San Jose Mercury News Gerald Galaway Jr was originally charged with second-degree murder, first-degree attempted sexual assault and kidnapping. He changed his plea Thursday under an agreement with prosecutors. He also pleaded no contest to kidnapping.
