In court papers, Kelvin Deon Wilson alleged that his rights were violated when a Winston-Salem police officer sat on him while he was lying on a hospital bed just after midnight on July 13, 2010, and ordered a nurse to take his blood more than an hour after he was arrested on a charge of misdemeanor driving while impaired.
